Constitutional mandateالاختصاص الدستوري
The Senate's role is set out in the Constitution. It is consulted on the matters that touch the foundations of the state, and its opinion accompanies major legislation before it becomes law.دورُ المجلس محدَّدٌ في الدستور. يُستشار في المسائل التي تمسّ أسس الدولة، ويصاحب رأيُه التشريعات الكبرى قبل أن تصير قوانين.
The Senate studies and proposes what strengthens democracy, supports social peace, and safeguards rights, freedoms and public duties.يختص المجلس بدراسة واقتراح ما يدعم الديمقراطية والسلام الاجتماعي ويصون الحقوق والحريات والواجبات العامة.
Its opinion is sought on constitutional amendments, general development plans, treaties affecting sovereignty, and bills referred to it.يؤخذ رأيه في تعديلات الدستور والخطط العامة للتنمية والمعاهدات المتصلة بالسيادة والقوانين المحالة إليه.
