The Senate approved on Sunday the report of the joint committee on the draft law reforming higher education, referring its recommendations to the House of Representatives.أقرّ مجلس الشيوخ يوم الأحد تقرير اللجنة المشتركة حول مشروع قانون إصلاح التعليم العالي، وأحال توصياته إلى مجلس النواب.
Following two sittings of debate, members endorsed fourteen recommendations addressing university governance, research funding and the alignment of graduate skills with the labour market. The President of the Senate described the report as a considered contribution to a national priority.بعد جلستين من المناقشة، أقرّ الأعضاء أربع عشرة توصية تتناول حوكمة الجامعات وتمويل البحث العلمي ومواءمة مهارات الخريجين مع سوق العمل. ووصف رئيس المجلس التقرير بأنه إسهام مدروس في أولوية وطنية.
The committee heard testimony from ministry representatives, university leaders and student union delegates before finalising its text. The recommendations are advisory; the House of Representatives will consider them during its own reading of the bill.استمعت اللجنة إلى إفادات من ممثلي الوزارة وقيادات الجامعات ومندوبي اتحادات الطلاب قبل وضع صيغتها النهائية. والتوصيات ذات طابع استشاري، وسينظر فيها مجلس النواب خلال مناقشته لمشروع القانون.
